1. Explore: The best way to get the vibes for the Realm, the lore and other players is by grabbing the Observer tag and start exploring. The little red friend at the entrance will give you the tag when you click it.  Once you are wearing  the Observer, you are free to explore the many beautiful locations of the Realm by using the teleporter. Please remember that local chat is for in-character roleplay. If you'd like to ask questions, use the group chat or contact one of the realm admins. You can find an overview of the admins in the Welcome Center.

2. Information: After exploring the Realm and you feel this is a place you want to roleplay, it’s mandatory to read the Sim Rules and the Lore of Aglarond Yuirwood.

 

3.Join the group: Aglarond Yuirwood has one official main group called 'Aglarond Yuirwood: A New Era'.  You can find all important notices in that group and it is required to be in the group to roleplay here. You can use the groupchat to start RP or to ask for info/help.

We also have an OOC Chatter group called 'Aglarond Yuirwood: OOC Chat' and there you can use the chat for all your goofy chatting. But keep it clean and friendly:)

NOTE: Inactive players will be removed from all AY groups.

4. HUD use: In Aglarond Yuirwood we are using an optional RP tool. This tool has many cool features such as RP dice, titler, coin and Quests.

5. Character Creation: It is possible to have more than 1 character in Aglarond Yuirwood but it is advised to start with one. You have to decide what you are going to play and what the background of your character is. You need the information from the Lore of the Realm and you need to know about what Race you want to play.

Does your character use Magic or is it a healer? There are several ranks/levels. Please take your time to think it through.

 

If you wish to join the Realm with an Established Character or a new character with experience, there is an Application Form for you to fill in and hand over to the admins (application mailbox).

We use these application forms to make sure no overpowered or unrealistic characters roam in the Realm.

The Magic Word is "Simbul"

When you send in your application you will be put in the -LEVEL 1- role so you can start play right away.

If you are starting fresh with a basic character with no powers, you can contact an admin and you will be put

in the -LEVEL 1- role.

Make sure you change your *application needed* tag into  -Level 1-  or -approved charcter-

6. Factions: Once you know all the ins and outs about your character, it is time to join one of the Factions of the realm. Factions can be a great tool to meet fellow players and to get involved in RP plots. You do not have to choose a faction right away. And you can also stay Neutral.

7. It is time to start: There are several areas where your character can arrive: the beaches or one of the harbors. Aglarond Yuirwood is based on the Forgotten Realm novels and is situated in Faerun. This means its easy to travel from or to Aglarond Yuirwood.

It is also possible your character is 'born' in the Realm. In that case, the Sim is your starting point. Please fill in an Application Form and contact one of the Realm mentors to see if your character's history fits with the Lore of the Realm.

 

8. Get involved: There are many roleplay jobs available and if your character is looking for an occupation or some coin to survive. The coins are given to you via the HUD tool. You can buy drinks, clothing. And more important, it creates RP.

The Faction Lead and Realm admins can help you with finding you a fitting profession.

 

9. Contribute: Being a player in Aglarond Yuirwood is about creating roleplay. Not just for yourself, but also for other players around you. Do not sit back and wait for others to come to you, but be active!

We also have a RP group, where ppl come together and create simwide RP stories.

 

10. Help from Realm Admins: If you are not sure where to go, or you need help with setting up your character, do not hesitate to contact one of the Realm Admins.
